Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course Coming to the Guanacaste Country Club in Costa Rica
Frank Biden, brother of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, and Co-Developer of the largest country club residential community in Costa Rica, the Guanacaste Country Club, and Jack Nicklaus, held the official signing today for the design and construction of the new Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
The community is located just 15 minutes from the Liberia International Airport which is in the process of construction of a new terminal to handle the enormous growth of the Guanacaste Province.
This first Nicklaus Signature Course now under construction in Costa Rica brings along with it a Nicklaus Academy that will create a unique golf experience. Additionally, the environmentally and socially responsible methods of development create awareness to a country already a leader in both in Central America.
The Nicklaus brand will also add enormous value to the 1200+ homes to be built in this large, luxury Costa Rica golf community. All levels of play will be accommodated, and the course will include gallery support for tournament play, multiple water influences, and plenty of bunkers.
"As a partner in the project, I have personally spent time with the Nicklaus team and have been amazed at the sensitivity to detail, the environmental awareness, and the talent and experience that makes the Nicklaus brand our choice for Costa Rica, and our other projects in Central America," said Frank Biden. Additionally, I am a personal friend and business associate of Jack's son Steve who, along with all his brothers, is a partner in the family business. I know the pride they take in their work and the responsibility they feel toward their dad and the family. We are all proud of the Nicklaus families know how and their commitment to the environment and the local community in Costa Rica".
The Guanacaste Country Club aims to combine the luxury of the gated community with the logical price and environmental responsibility. Additionally, the Nicklaus Academy will bring state-of-the-art golf training to Costa Rica.
"Our goals are pretty simple and have not changed, nor have they been diluted by the economic crisis. This new development model provides Luxury Living at a Logical Price. All of our planned projects in Latin America establish their pricing based upon the value to the customer and the surrounding communities, and the quality of the Real Estate, Amenities and Services," Craig Williamson said, Chairman of the Guanacaste Country Club. "It is indeed possible to marry 'luxury lifestyle' with common sense pricing and environmental and social responsibility. The Guanacaste Country Club and Nicklaus Design together are proving this in Costa Rica."
The Nicklaus golf course construction will start by the beginning of 2010. Pre-sale pricing of lots and homes runs until January 15th, 2010.
